Maasai huts are made of cattle dung, mud and branches.

It is the job of the woman to make the hut. Some Maasai are now building

simple houses built of bricks with iron roofs.

Bricks are purchased when there is money and houses are built in stages.

Usually they take years to be constructed.

Inside a Maasai hut there are one or two areas for sleeping,

an eating area with stones surrounding an open fire,

and an area for the young goats to sleep.

Tin cups and plates, and forks or spoons are used for eating.
